Rick is best known for his love of fresh seafood and for helping turn Padstow, Cornwall, into a must visit destination for foodies from all over the world.  He received a CBE for services to West Country tourism.

A hugely popular TV presenter, Rick has published many best-selling cookery books including Rick Stein’s Spain, Mexico, Far Eastern Odyssey, Rick Stein’s India and From Venice to Istanbul, as well as his bestselling memoir Under a Mackerel Sky. 

Rick’s latest television series are set in Cornwall and his new book Rick Stein’s Simple Suppers will be published by BBC Books in Autumn 2023.
